Dedicated GPU to integrated GPU (ASUS laptop)

I have a gaming laptop but the battery life isn't that great. So i thought maybe its possible to use the intel hd graphics instead of the 1060. So my questions are is this possible and how? and will this change the battery life?

I know this wont give me the same performance as using the 1060. I will only use the integrated graphics for typing and maybe powerpoint.

Thanks

The laptop should already use integrated graphics when not under load

I could be wrong, but from what ive experienced that seems to be what most systems do

Is there any way i can test this?

(Only the 1060 does display in the device manager)
