Yeah, 850w is way more than enough to run two 7870s in crossfire. They use about 150-180 each, max.

The TX models cooling method is to turn the fan on at full whack for a short period of time and then turn off again. If you're wanting a quiet computer and baring in mind, if it is sitting beside you on your desk it can get very irritating when it constantly ramps up and down when your using some wattage. I own the TX750 model with a single graphics card, looking at selling it in preference of a psu with a constant cooling approach.

It'll be plenty to run those in Crossfire.

Also because its Corsair you'll be getting a bloody good product

If you want a good, quiet PSU, go for a Seasonic- X series PSU. They have a hybrid/on hand switch. When its in hybrid, the fan only turns on under load (so if you're like me, then the fan will barely ever be on).

If you want a better psu, I would get a Corsair AX850 (80+ gold).
