Will Samsung S8+ model SM-G955FZKADBT work in Finland with finnish sim?

Sim lock is not a thing here in Finland to my knowledge as long as its unlocked. So no need to worry about that.

G955F is Europe;

G955U is USA (although there are sub-letters such as V for Verizon mobile);

G955W is for Canada;

G955 is for China

DBT is the Regional Code for German "Carrier-free". Which means, DBT is a German, Branding-free (there are Vodafone, Telekom, O2, 1&1 Congstar, if i didn't forget one.

 

Since Firmwares are always multilanguage, there will be no issue. OTA Updates will be pushed over to your device, when they are pushed to german DBT models.

 

There is a good possibility to change it. Officially your warranty will be void, inofficially it's likely not possible to "see" it: Flash the Finnish version with ODIN software. Firmware: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s8-plus/SM-G955F/

 

Finland isn't there somehow, but there are "Nordic Countries" with the NNE, it's probably that? What is the Regional Code of the devices in your local shops? Can you check? ^^ Or link a finnish tech shop? Can't seem to find one, as i don't know what to google for

 

I too did flash once the Great Britain version for my German one, because they got the Android 7 OTA Update earlier, and i didn't wanted to wait.

 

 

If you don't care about that, just use it like that, and be happy. it will work, and you will get Updates too.
