Need help overclocking i have no idea what im doing

I am running

asus rog strix z370-e

w/ i7-8700k

gskillz trident z 16gb ram 3200

corsair h100i pro

Evga gtx 1080 ti

this is my first build ever and I tried overclocking last night have no idea if what im looking at is good or not. I followed video tutorials but again im a noob so i honestly couldnt fully understand. Am i supposed to lower voltage? Raise voltage? Lower to 4.9? 4.8?

(yesterday my house was super hot so im sure it maybe effected the scores cuz of temps??)

my cinebench score was 1212 and im thinking about it now it seems kind of low.

multicore temps maxed out at 77-80C

i would love some advice Please help guys! I want to be in the Master race :(

If you don't know what you're doing, stay clear of voltage control. You can get decent overclocks even without it and messing with voltages can be dangerous.

Keep temperatures below about 85C and move up 100mhz at a time until it crashes during stress tests, then dial it down to the last setting that worked perfectly. If you exceed 85C under load before getting crashes, don't go any further.

Once you have a basic OC going you can take your time to learn more advanced techniques.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

You don't have a Gigabyte board ,but they have an easy to follow guide to get the 8700K to 5.0GHz.  Same settings apply for your motherboard.
