Should I be worried?

Ive juts booted up my pc, and was typing to someone on skype when I heard a few clicking noises. They stopped for like 10 seconds then carried on for like 5 seconds and repeated this about 4 times. I went inside my pc and it was my new 3TB Hard Drive. It isn't doing it anymore half an hour later. Should I be worried?

sounds like the hard drive is skipping

 

this what might happen to you

 

1.will keep skipping randomly for years (annoying but wont become worse happened to me)

2.skipping will get worse and die soon (happened to me)

3. sudden death

 

 

either way  backup all ur stuff and RMA it

backup your stuff and try a defrag, if it continues the outcome could be anything from sudden death to years of noisy storage.
