ssd SSD No longer accessible (Blue Q-mark)

Hello, so I went to load up a game to play on steam and was greeted to an error I have never seen before (Lots of words but mainly about a missing .exe shortcut). I looked in file explorer to see what was wrong and noticed there was a blue question mark on the drive. Now, at first, it had said that there is something around 30GB remaining out of 250GB but when I went to look in the drive, it would say 'Folder Empty'. It was acting like nothing was actually on the drive when it was actually quite populated. Looked in Disk Management and saw [Refer to 2nd image.] Not sure what happened or what to do. Worked fine yesterday and never shown any issues. Am I just being dumb and is the the answer right in front of me? Any help is much appreciated.

(And yes, I did restart my computer with no luck)

Probably a bad drive. Restore backups and return the drive if you can.

Is there a specific program you would recommend to recover data? I've hear its particularly difficult to do with an SSD.

He did not recommend that you try Recovery, he recommended that you Restore.

This assumes that you made some sort of backup of your data in case of loss.

In my opinion, @Electronics Wizardy was overly optimistic.

Yeah, I got what he meant but figured I'd still ask to see if he knew of any potential recovery programs.

Attempting recovery can corrupt the drive even more. I wouldn't bother. Send it back.

does the drive show up in a different system? If not id look for a recovery service.

It did but said Failure. Tried a few things but I think its just dead.

It will show up as failure even if there is no drive as its expecting one.

 

Try using it on anouther pc.

 

Id look into data recovery

Yeah, I plan on looking into it more and putting it into another computer. I'll post an update if I somehow manage to make it work. (Unless I forget to lol)
