New build not turning on

TheRealManInRed

Try booting with one ram stick at a time with both RAM sticks.

Make sure you have the RAM sticks in dual config. (ex. XIXI)

Take out the CMOS battery for 1 minute and put it back in and see if it works. We can go deeper into it if these steps don't work.

I suggest you take it all out and rebuild it. That normally solves all issues. Make sure you plugged every cable in properly.

Your cooler is orientated the wrong way. Turn it around 180 degrees. This was it is getting fresh air from the intake fans.

There is a chance. A rebuild is the best way to fix issues.

There's always a chance of hardware failure. But if you didn't do anything wrong there should be no problems.

Yeah turn that cooler around, it won't fix anything but it hurts to see :P

The fan blows air through the heatsink, to the back fan for exhaust.

Or the better solution since the fan just clicks on would be to just pull the fan off and click it on the other side

Just built my first pc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hPHDkd

ive assembled everything and when i press the power button, nothing happens. i checked, double checked and triple checked my psu connections and front i/o

The strange thing is that some of my mobos rgb lights turn on

plz help

Just out of curiosity. Are there any motherboard lights even on? When you hit the button do any lights turn on? It could be something as simple as you didn't turn the power on the PSU to on... or you didn't plug the on/off button in to the right pens or forgot to hook it up at all.

If you are getting no lights then this points to a power issue.

i narrowed my problem down to my v1000 psu. i know this as my 550w evga supernova works just fine. i dont have enough horsepower to run  a 1080ti tho.

550W is way more than enough for a single 1080Ti.
