Hey. I have recently built a new pc though I want to upgrade the cooler to get a better overclock and to be quieter.

Here is what I have. 8600k@ 4.8/ cooler master hyper 212/ corsair vengeance rgb ram/  msi m5 motherboard/ gtx 107ti.

I was looking to get the dark rock 4 (non pro) or the notcua nh-u12s though I am worried about ram clearance cause they are not low profile sticks. The fan on the hyper 212 is right up against the ram

as it is at the moment.

Thoughts?

I recommend the Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One, RAM clearance is no issue and the cooler is practically silent. It cools my 8600K at 4.6GHz extremely easily.

An update to the NH-U12S is supposed to come out late this year/early next year, with performance similar to the NH-D15 (grain of salt). Might be worth waiting for, if you're extremely patient? https://noctua.at/en/noctua-at-computex-2018

The Cryorig H5 Universal and Scythe Mugen 5 should have no issues with RAM clearance, as their finstack is offset a bit.

:)

It's not that much better than the 212 Evo.

You could go with a taller cooler like the NH-U14S which shouldn't be much more: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/DMjG3C/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhu14s

It completely clears the dimm slots and performs better than the DR4.

NH-D15S

Offset for RAM and PCIe clearance and only 3C warmer than NH-D15 with two fans

Looks interesting.Will read some reviews.
