Microphone will not work on anything except Voice Recorder on Windows

Hello, I cannot get my mic to work on anything but Windows Voice Recorder. It will not work for Discord or Games. I have tried checking the privacy settings and it hasn't done anything. Any help?

Follow this.

 

1. Go to the Voice Recorder app on Windows 10.
2. Click the 3 dot button on the bottom right.
3. Click "Microphone Settings"
4. Look for Discord and any games.

For Discord, AFAIK you have to select the microphone inside the settings as the "Input Device".

That's the thing; there isn't Discord or any other games.

Here, Windows will pick me up but Discord won't

Edit: to clarify: it was louder than this, Snipping tool is just being annoying.
