Upgrade or buy new ?

Im currently debating about upgrading my pc or buying a completly new one.

Current Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz

RAM: 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz

Motherboard : MSI H81M-P33 (MS-7817)

GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

Harddrive : 1 TB HDD

Power supply : CobraKing VP-550 non-Modular 80+

I was thinking about buying a RX 580 8GB and a new case but it might be better buying a new pc idk.

My budget in around 700€ or 816 USD.

TY for your help.

Buy yourself a new GPU, like the RX580 or an R9 290x/390x on the used market.

Also buy yourself an SSD. Something like a Crucial mx500 250/500GB

Keep your case and PSU, and HDD if its healthy and upgrade the PC from there.

Something like I post below could work. You would want to upgrade the RAM, get some more HDD space and an SSD in the future and from there you could be set.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor  (€160.89 @ Alternate)
Motherboard: MSI - X470 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard  (€138.89 @ Mindfactory)
Memory: G.Skill - Aegis 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory  (€75.89 @ Alternate)
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB WINDFORCE OC 6G Video Card  (€297.99 @ Mindfactory)
Total: €673.66
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
