Best Budget Gaming PC

Quido
Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

So which build?

Bear in mind he will be playing at 1600x900. :D

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2ugrf

Hello.

I am looking for the best £400 Gaming PC.

The main game my friend will be playing is Battlefield 4 so i think AMD is the option for a GPU. He doesn't need any peripherals or OS.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2sQqp

This is what i have come up with. It looks decent as I have been able to fit an R9 270. I won't be getting the R9 270X, kind of a place holder.

Any other changes to be made before ordering?

Add the 760k for just a few pounds more. Don't bother with the 270x just get the 270, otherwise looks good

YOU SIR ARE WRONG, ok so you may not know this. The card I linked is a 7870 XT, meaning it has 1500 stream processors instead of the standard 1200. Meaning it is more powerful, the cooler is meh but the card is cheaper then any 270x or 7870 but its more powerful. You cant argue with the core count, it comes very close to a 7950 in everything before overclocking.

The cooler one this one isnt really that loud(under 50% then, 49%=1900, 50%=1950, 51%=2100). After 50 its explodes.

Yeah I would prefer to buy something with a better cooler.

Its the best XT edition cooler you can get, all the other companies use a one fan cooler which is as loud as a jet taking off. The xfx cooler is a ariapc exclusive so they get special treatment.

What could you do if he went with the Cooler Master Elite 120 and say add another £50?

This? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2tNUs

You're better off with the 750K/760K.
