Windows Server 2008 R2 on Ryzen?

Well, I guess I want to ask something out of curiosity. How tough would it be to get Windows Server 2008 R2 up and running on a Ryzen-based system? I'm imagining that it'd be like Windows 7 but I just want to know.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X

Motherboard: ASRock AB350M

Windows 7 on Ryzen is known to cause lots of problems; there are unofficial fixes but Micro$oft wants new PCs to run Windowspyware 10

Bleh. Fuck Microsoft, but I don't want to be stuck on a Linux distro either.

Why would you want to install 2008R2 anyways when there are newer systems?

Windows 10 honestly bothers the fuck out of me, and if I were to be blatantly honest, I like the stock look of 2008 R2 over 7's stock look.

Other than that, accessibility to it.

As I said I believe there are unofficial fixes but it's a pain in the ass. Honestly I've thought about rolling back to 8.1 for a while now

Yeah I feel pretty similar towards Windows. Although I haven't had as much issues with it, I still sorta have an adoration of getting Windows 7 UItimate on my Ryzen rig too.

 

Alas, I've seen 8.1 working a little better than 7 on Ryzen systems.
