Liquid cooling for 8700k

Go to solution Solved by Br3tt96,

I'd shoot for the h150i if you have the room. The extra mm of rad will help cool

Yo guys,

Right now Im looking at an 8700k, but I'm still doubting which cooler to take; the nzxt kraken x62 or the corsair h150i pro rgb, I want my 8700k at 5ghz with max temps of 70 degrees, (if my 8700k even reaches 5 ghz) will the nzxt kraken x62 handle that completely fine or is the 150i worth it for the lower temps and noise?

If you want my honest opinion, The h150i pro is Not worth the $150+ but if you really want it be my guest. Id prefer a 360mm Deepcool EX or a Fractal s36, and those will do a great job as well.

Both the Kraken x62(x72 as well) series and the H150i Pro  IO's are just mainly for the RGB fan and pump stuff for that price, they perform just about the same within a few degrees

There is no way we can gurantee that temperature, voltage and a lot of other factors matter, and i would aim for under 80 celc to be honest since thats still a safe temperature.
