Laptop for a Computer Systems Student

I am looking for a laptop that needs to be able to handle multiple VMs running at once so an i7 hyperthreaded is a must with a minimum of 16GB of RAM could come with a HDD I have plenty of spare SSD I could swap into it so that's not that big of concern and don't need a dedicated GPU since I won't be gaming on it. Budget max is $2500

weight preferred to be lighter and battery life don't really need to worry all too much since it will be plugged in majority of the time when doing heavier work loads
