Expanding Laptop Storage

I recently purchased a laptop with 256gbs of storage. I'm afraid this won't be enough so I've been looking for options to expand it. I've landed on SDXC cards. What's the best SD card for this? Is this even the right option? Thanks

Just buy a flash drive, or use an external hard drive

What is you machine model number, in the specifications on their website it should say so. And in the other hand I have never seen a laptop computer with a hard drive larger than 2.5inches, it seems to be obvious but there are computers with smaller dimensions hard drives than 2.5 but again I've never seen one laptop with a larger drive than 2.5 (sounds funny to state this).
