Soo much lag need help pls

Hello all,

My laptop - Acer Nitro 5 Spin ( i7 8550U + GTX1050 4GB)

as you can see in the image my processor is downclocking itself to 6W only it does not thermal throttles as the temperature is around 70C rather is power throttles.

I've tried undervolting ( to -0.1 V) and overvolting (to +0.03V) but it gave a poor result. IDK why my processor does that but in cinebench, I'm getting bad results too (around 550)

I think it might be because of the CPU power suppliers might be overheating as they are pretty close to the heatsink on CPU (see in the photo)

under load (only gaming tho) I get stutters of constant fps drops and CPU clocks itself down to 1.4~1.5ghz on all 4 cores. The cooling is capable enough to hold around 2.5ghz on all cores (IDK but I just know it :P)

I also changed the thermal paste on CPU and GPU also put thermal pads on the GPU memory but still no improvements.

also, will putting thermal pads on CPU power suppliers will fix this or not?

Hi, I read this post and tried disabling BD PROCHOT.

First CPU-Z showed that the CPU was stuck at 399Mhz core speed.

After disabling BD PROCHOT, the CPU is back to 3990Mhz.

I need to ask you why is this happening and is there a better fix than having to load throttlestop every time?

Also, is disabling BD PROCHOT harming my laptop in any way?

BD Prochot is basically a thing that limits the performance of either CPU or GPU when both are loaded to keep temperatures/power draw undervolted control

It may harm your laptop if your laptop has a really bad cooling and undersized adapter

Correct me if I'm wrong
