Need your help choosing the best PC for WoW

Go to solution Solved by Skazi,

7770 r7 250 is the replacement for the 7750 and its only a £2 difference or you could stretch for a r7 260x if you need the extra Vram plus some extra performance

thank you very much!!!

Hi guys,

I was hoping you would be able to help me to decide which of these are the best for playing World of Warcraft at high graphic settings.

Up until now I have played Wow on an old Toshiba laptop that I got back in 2006, it has served me well up until this year where it has died a horrible death. It has gotten to the point where I can't raid or do anything without constant lag even with graphics set at the lowest..so it is time for a desktop :P

I don't download movies or music so I don't need a lot of space, I mainly just play it for Wow and for the internet.

I live in the UK so I preferably only want to pick a PC from this website because I can reserve it and pick it up in the store the same day.

Which do you think is best out of these 3? My budget is around £500.

All of those would play wow on ultra with 60+ fps.

Everyone here will probably tell you to build your own pc, doesn't sound like you're interested in it. I'd recommend learning and looking into it.

I don't like advising pre-built system, but if your choosing between the three I would pick this one: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/desktop-pc-monitors/desktop-pcs/pcs-for-gaming/cyberpower-empire-elite-gaming-pc-21831981-pdt.html

An FYI you don't need a lot of power to drive WOW.

wow that was fast response, thank you!

No Luclocke I have looked into building one but I just wouldn't know where to start.. even though I would end up with a better and cheaper pc :P

The pc you linked, there's no info about the graphics card? Would I need to install one?

It seems as if it does not. I made the quick assumption it does, just buy a 7000 series radeon card and stick it in.

You're welcome. It does come with intel on board graphics, which are actually not that bad.

You need to quote a post or tag a member or else they won't get a notification you replied to them.

If you don't know where to start, I'd point you towards some of Austin Evan's videos on Youtube. If you're not sure what parts to pick, read this http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/18-new-builds-and-planning/ and post a new topic on this section.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/
Also, make sure to quote a post or tag a member when replying or else they won't get a notification that you replied to them.

Thank you! :)

if you can put in a graphics card you can build a PC, watch build guides and tutorials on YouTube from Linus and I think newegg has a tutorial. As much as you might not want to its way better and cheaper plus if one part fails most have good warranties and you can send back that one part. Plus the feeling of it being your own PC

Thank you!

No problem! You'll appreciate the R7 series cards nicely and the quad core AMD will work better for you in MMORPG gaming over the dual core i3. You can also upgrade the gfx card later down the road if you want a bit more out of other games. It's definitely not a bad pre-built system.

i would typically advise against a prebuilt, but if that is all you can get i would go with the cyberpower pc. If you can get individual parts in your area i would highly suggest you to build your own. It really is not all that hard to assemble a pc yourself. Its is a great experience and it is very fun(and very addictive). If you need help picking out some parts just make a thread here and people here will be glad to help you out. http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/18-new-builds-and-planning/

Cyberpower PC is your best bet, but honestly I really suggest you building your own PC...

Any modern integrated graphics will run WoW with no problems at all.  If you're dead set on buying a pre-built system, make sure to factor in reliability and warranty, as many mass-producing PC makers cheap out on certain parts such as the motherboard and PSU.  Like most other people, I seriously suggest building your own.  (It's so much easier than it initially looks and you'll have everyone here to help. :) )

Have you ordered from this site before? Is it a reputable one? I think I might get that second link you gave!

Haven't personally but the site is recommended by tinytomlogan and compared to pc world the 2nd link is a much better value for money oh something you have to keep in mind is that system doesnt come with an operating system but you can get one for the same price as the difference between the pc world system. you can add windows 7 to your order or purchase it from Amazon.

Thank you! I've been looking around and I think I've finally found a decent priced one which is better than the one's I've linked.. what is your opinion? And which graphics card would you suggest?
