[New build] Z370-E lights but no boot.

Go to solution Solved by Crunchy Dragon,

I would start by taking out everything that isn't needed for your PC to boot and send a display output.

So basically take out the GPU, all but one RAM stick, and the HDD.

See if that changes anything.

Also check your motherboard's manual to see what the LEDs indicate.

Hello , i just finished my build,  but i have big problem , when i turn on my powersupply from back ,my motherboard lights up, pc is not even on..  after i press start button on my case, fans is spinning , gpu lights up but no boot screen or antyhing.   On my motherboard there is post state leds and there is Red and Yellow ,

I read manuall that Red is for CPU and Yellow for DRAM.  What should i do, check if something is not correctly connected?

I dont know what to do.

For now, you can go through this list. I'll try to give more specific advice in a minute.

Additional Information (such as a full parts list) and additional pictures would be helpful.

Red is for CPU, but not the one on the picture. That's the power state on light. The DRAM is the fault here. You probably didn't seat them right, has happened more than once for me.

Is something blocking / stopping the fan from spinning?

Screw / cable / fan mount in the way?

You need to have the fan connected to the CPU_Fan header(s), or you might get an error.

The CPU error might be because no CPU fan is being detector, or CPU fan is reading 0 RPM.

Check the CPU socket for any bent or damaged pins.

When i place my ram stick to 4th slot i have Yellow led , which is for DRAM, is there are possibilities that my ram is not compatible with my system?

I have only 1 stick right now in 4th slot, will try to reset to 3th , 2th slot.  I cant put in 1slot because of the cpu cooler
