i7 7700k running hot

i just got a i7 7700k not overclocked or anything with a dark rock pro 4 and it goes up to around 95c in prime95 is this normal with this chip or?

What is the normal temp while running prime95?

 

Does running prime95 is normal?

check thermal paste application and the mounting for the DR4. also check to see if it is throttling.

Do you have thermal paste applied? (Dumb question but you never know)

Did you take off the sticker at the bottom of the cooler if it has one?

Did you plug in the fan?

both fans are are spinning, bottom sticker is removed , applied losts of thermal paste

Run AIDA64 instead, to my knowledge prime95 is still on the black list for stability testing.

its been running for 5 minutes at 73/75C nothing wrong with that right?

 

edit: at 10 minutes now still 73c

This is why I never use Prime for stability testing an overclock.

 

I already have an oven in my kitchen.
