Hello!

This might be a topic that you wont see everyday...

So: i have a macbook pro 15 (2017) and i want to play some games with it.

I thought about buying the omen eGpu and a gtx 1070. i already have a thunderbold 3 monitor.

of course i will play the games in bootcamp.

Will this "setup" cause any problems or do i just have to stick everything in and its done.

Thanks!

Download Nvidia drivers manually and you should be good to go.

Im not entirely certain wether not it will have any issues by that facts its Nvidia and not AMD. Only AMD cards are officially supported

Nvidia does support their cards on MacOS, the drivers can be found here

Ik Nvidia support macOS, but i didnt know if they specifically did it through Thunderbolt aswell

That's the only way they can do it. Since Apple and Nvidia have been at odds and ends since a defect occurred in the early 2010s.

Not really. One way or another you will be fine.

Your welcome. Though, do be wary some glitches may still occur, but so far at least they have been solvable, but at times they can apparently be a hassle.

Here is a good video on the subject, now many of these issues have been solved as of late, esp. since the Macbook pro officially supports EGPUs now.
