Help finding a budget monitor

WheatleyTheMoron
Go to solution Solved by GoldenLag,

I'm trying to find a monitor thats under 130 dollars that meets these requirements:

>1080p, 60 hz (However if I could find something that is by default or could be overclocked to 75hz I would be willing to go for it)

>At least one HDMI port and one DVI port, preferably two HDMI ports instead.

>24 inches in size.

The only reason I am asking here is because there are so many different monitors on the market and I'm not too experienced in exactly what I should look out for in the "perks" and I feel like this place would let me get a lot of feedback on what I should get.

As a starting point, some monitors I have found that interest me:

ASUS VS228H-P 21.5" Full HD 1920x1080 HDMI DVI VGA Back-lit LED Monitor

Acer R221Q bid 21.5-inch IPS Full HD (1920 x 1080) Display (VGA, DVI & HDMI Ports)

In my experience, most monitors have really long lifespans. I only just replaced the 1680x1050 Acer monitor I used as a secondary a couple weeks ago, and it's over a decade old and still works perfectly. I would highly recommend checking out your local used market. More often than not, I've found some great monitor deals this way.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/sh38TW/aoc-g2460vq6-240-60hz-monitor-g2460vq6 - 24" 1080p 75HZ FreeSync if you want to buy new but I'd really recommend looking for a used 1440p monitor. 1440 isn't even that hard to drive - a 1060 can do it just fine

You can just buy like a $9 DVI-HDMI adapter

Any of the 1080p 75hz free-sync displays, preferably the IPS ones.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
