Hey all! I recently got a new Galaxy note 3 and I really love it and it is such an upgrade from my iphone 4s. Anyways I am wondering if it is worth rooting my phone and losing the warranty on it. Please note (ha ha, get it?) that I will not install a different rom because I want to keep the feature that I have currently on it with the s-pen etc and I don't mind touchwiz all that much. If I root I will probably do things like backup my phone and connect my ps3 controller via bluetooth to my phone. Is rooting it worth it? If so what else can I do with it?

If you can root it without ODIN, you should be able to unroot it and Samsung will never know.

root is almost pointless now

root had lots of advantages in previous android versions

now most things that people used root for is already doable in recent versions of android

unless u want cyanogenmod or do some odd things like get more money in games or other stuff do it

If you don't plan to use cyanogenmod (I don't even think CyanogenMod supports the Note 3 anyway), then I do not see a legitimate and logical use to void your warranty just to troll games.
Just stay stock Touchwiz for now and experience the Note for what it is (until cyanogenmod for Note 3 is out :D)

Nope, rooting is still extremely useful, especially when it comes to things like the xposed framework, where you can customize rom simple apk files, it's extremely useful. (Also get foxhound rom if you do root it please, such a godly rom

It depends on why you want to root...and if u juz want to root your phone for fun...then do it rightaway and later unroot it if you want to apply for  warranty for some reason...u can use odin, there is no prob...juz that u need to know a few tricks of a perfect unroot..!!
