Quick question do you have a 144hz or 60hz monitor? If 60 it should be fine but 144 have to lower settings as time goes on, heck even now since the 1080 or 1080 ti can't achieve full 144hz on high settings on some games

im plannign on gettting a 1440p 144hz monitor

You should be fine but don't expect to always hit 144hz especially as the years go on. All you're missing out on is a bit more cores threads and hyperthreading which MIGHT be more helpful in the future but honestly you'll probably upgrade by the time that happens so you should be good.

I think the price gap is pretty huge and the performance is negligible unless you're playing some cpu intensive games so

Multiplayer games that are open world and have a lot of players usually tend to be a cpu intensive game

I’d would be a good choice because that gpu is pretty high end just like that monitor and you don’t want to cheap out to much on a cpu.
