Please help

So I bout a gtx 970 about 1 month ago and it had no problems what so ever and recently I’ve been having problems with the gpu usage being really low resulting in unstable fps my specs are an i5 7500 gtx 970 16gb ram on bf1 my cpu is 100% most of the time and the gpu is everywhere 46% 50% 76% but never 100% I have oced the card but I’m now running it stock as I thought the oc was the problem  but I guess not

If your CPU is 100% and your Gpu isn't... that is a sign that you are being limited (bottlenecked) by your cpu.

Might be Vram limited. The 970 has a wierd Vram issue that causes the card ti slow down when using more than 3.5GB of Vram.

 

Though it does sound like a bottleneck issue.

Doubt that it's bottleneck. I mean, if he didn't have that issue before, why would it magically appear now? And I don't think that 7500 is slow to the point where it bottlenecks 970.

It could be massive thermal throttling, or perhaps a driver issue? It feels like computer insists on feeding CPU all the load while video card is just chilling there.

Have you checked for any open processes or run a virus/malware scan?  This would add extra load to your CPU which may not have been there when you started using the card.

I have got a lot of background processes running but I’m not sure the ones I can safely close the temps are normal everything is normal expect my cpu being maxed out and my gpu usage all over the place I’m worried my oc has damaged my card possibly?

No viruses either as I do scans pretty much every day

I thought it was a bottleneck too bare in mind when it was ok I did not check the usages and temps then as I didn’t have msi afterburner but the fps was still good but still abit weird because my fps is really bad and unplayable right now
