i am in the market for a new tv,

i would like for it to be 4k and curved, not too bothered about anything else.

my budget is around £500 (flexible)

i would just like to know any recommendations, or what i should be looking out for when searching.

I persoanlly wouldnt bother with Curved TV's. There's only one sitting spot where you'd get the most benefit from it, and if you sit a meter left of right you lose the entire effect. And thats not considering if you have more more than one person trying to watch at the same time.

What size would you be looking for? I would recommend a Samsung one if you have cash to spare, or maybe one from LG.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

viewing angles wont be a problem, it will be placed within my setup, meaning there will only be one place i am viewing from.

Not really. I have a Samsung 4K curved TV and the curve is useful because someone can see the screen even from an angle, whereas with a flat panel you can't see anything beyond a certain angle.

But I do agree with you that the effect is lost if you sit at the wrong angle.

Are you going to be using it as a monitor or a TV?
