Hi All

I am currently in the market for a new PSU as my current one is making popping noises when connected to power and sometimes momentarily shuts my PC down when I boot it up (does this sound bad?) :(

My specs are as follows:

i5 8600k @4.8Ghz

8GB DDR4 @3200Mhz

GTX 1070 (Around stock OC)

1x SSD

1x HDD

What power supply would you recommend for my system at the moment, im guessing around 650W? (I'm UK based with a budget of around £80-£100 - $105USD- $132USD)

This guy is good, if you want 650w it's 10 quid extra but you don't really need it.

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

People are going to say 650-750W is too much, and they are probably right, but these are good units:

EVGA and seasonic units have a 12 year warranty

No I don't think the 8600K is a good purchase, considering how expensive a 8600K build is, why not go 8700K?

Seasonic Focud Gold.

The corsair one isnt even modular. Corsair make great low budget PSUs. But at this pricepoint Seasonic takes the crown
