CD drive issues!

I just took the sata 1 cd drive out of my moms computer (it worked in it) and i put it in my pc and it will play like music cd's but it wont play movies. I need it to download the retail cd copy of diablo III and im wondering if this will cause issues? And if it will how do i fix it?

have you checked for updates some drives require drivers

Shouldnt windows drivers be enough? she just had a OEM system. 

 

Are you sure its not just a cd drive?

It says its a DVD-RW.

yea it should be sense you have installed it have you restarted you pc

Nevermind. It just takes like 5 min for the movies to load.

It should not take 5 minutes to parse a DVD. What program are you using to play it?

If you aren't using it already, get VLC player.

I am using VLC. it works, just takes a LONG time

when you have $4 in your bank acct and are saving for a new gpu you dont want to waist your money on a OD when you have an extra one that works.
