SD Card for Car

Basically, in a few months I'm getting my first car, a used 2015 Mercedes Benz C300 for about $25,000 (pretty good deal if you ask me), and as I was looking at options I found that there's an SD card slot so I just want to ask what do you put SD cards in cars for and what is the best one for a car. I don't think it matters if it's a cars SD Card or not but I'm just wondering. Anything is appreciated

You can use it to play music off of it. And the best one would be the fastest one in general. Also congrats on your purchase, beautiful car.

in my parents car, dont have one myself, we have 2 sd cards. one is solely for the navigation and you cant put the navigation on another sd card as it wont work, skoda wants to make money too XD. the other one is just for music. doesnt really matter how quick the sd card is for playing the music itself, mostly for adding the music to it

SD cards can be used to store and playback certain types of music files in some car models. Alternatively they are sometimes used to store satellite navigation maps or photos that can be seen on the display. If your car has a built in dash cam, then the files might be written to such an SD card as well.

As said, music and navigation files. You'd be better off investing in a bluetooth system if the car doesn't already have the ability
