Here is my system! Links to the components will be below. Just some specs: Pc part picker says my pc will run at about 400 wats, but ive been told go a bit overkill with the psu in case i wanna upgrade later. I do mostly gaming but some video editing as well. Im not looking to do much overclock, if any at all. Im a beginner so if this is crap pls let me know; I appreciate any tips or help. Also part picker has an option for picking a software but im not sure if i need one. Pls let me know if I do or not. P.S. yes, i am big on rgb.

Is a... good build! Don't see why you want an rgb psu when there'll be a shroud that'll cover it up. Also pcp is a good place to create builds but you should be able to find deals on some of these parts if you want to save a few bucks. For example, saw a deal on a gtx 1080 for $485 somewhere on slickdeals. It wasn't an asus card but they should all generally perform the same.

RGB PSU is pointless as the shroud in the case covers it, and it's honestly not even that good quality of a unit for the price.

H370 board with a K CPU AND 240mm AIO just makes no sense, get a Z370 so you can overclock, or drop down to an 8600 and go for an air-cooled solution.

There's a lot of value lost with some of these parts.  Here's what you could get for what you're spending:

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

I will either be putting the case on my desk or hardwood floors. I thought it would be better to put the fan on bottom, as usually when people put it on top they are building on carpet. I will start looking at a z370 board but will it be fine to keep the cpu and fan? Are there any boards you would recommend? Thx in advance for ur help.

There is a literal wall of metal preventing you from seeing any RGB. Just get a normal (and much better quality) psu

K, i'll look for a better psu, but from what i can see, the bottom side of the psu slot is a vent for exhaust. Anyway, just wanna make sure the ml240r is good enough for the i7 7700k.

Also how many wats do you think I need in the psu if part picker says 409 wats for my system.

7700k? or 8700k? a rig with a 1080 will take ~300w from the wall, no need to worry there. that board is fine but B&H has it for less.

7700k. R u saying my system will only use 300 wats? Also thx for telling me about the price.

around that number.  don't bother with the 7700k, the 8600k and 8700k are better choices.

I will look intro those. I had chosen an 8600k, but someone told me 7700k was better. Thx

The 7700K won't even work on 300-series motherboards. You're investing in a dead platform that way. Z270 boards are out of production and won't support any future technologies. Go for the latest, grab a 8600K.

k, so an i5 8600k, ML240R, MSI - Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON, and an  Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX will work fine?

Yes.
