You can't return it? Of course you can... if it blows up the second it's powered on that's obviously a defective PSU. The Supernova PSUs aren't called that because they resemble one :P

The manufacturer isn't responsible for repairing the unit for you directly, your supplier is (in this case memoryexpress) so they have to handle the RMA.

That's great, but they still have to take it back for RMA. You won't get your money back, but they are obligated to take it for repair unless you signed some document that stated it doesn't have a warranty.

What they said doesn't matter.

They sold you a defective PSU, as far as I can tell.

And if it is the PSU then they should contact EVGA or you and need to replace any other damaged component in the system (yes EVGA does this pretty well).

Customer support is great there.

That's what people in the Industry call DOA -> Dead on Arrival.

If the guy from the shop is an experienced, good guy, he knows that and will just replace the PSU when you come back to him and tell him what happened...

I know things like that might be frustrating but its not your fault. Stuff like that happens and its not something anybody can do much about. That is what Warranty is for!

True but as I stated he did say final sale so I have a feeling they aren’t just gonna hand over money or a new psu the worst part is I just plugged my old psu in and it looks like it took my board with it

Ask them nicely.

They can't do more than say no.

If they say no, contact EVGA.
