Garmin User here?

I have had two Garmin Nuvi (car) navigation systems. One I (or actually my parents) got about 10 years ago, the other is from 2 years ago.

 

Quite happy with the systems, they definitely improved the systems over the years too.

Get something with lifetime map upgrades though.

 

But I can't say much about their hiking/billing systems.
