Good deal or not?

I found a laptop for $625 USD ($820 CAD) with an i5 8250u, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, MX150 graphics, and a 15.6" 1080p IPS screen.

Here's the link to it: https://www.staples.ca/en/acer-aspire-5-nx-gtcaa-006-15-6-inch-notebook-1-6-ghz-intel-core-i5-8250u-256-gb-ssd-8-gb-ddr4-windows-10-home/product_2802077_1-CA_1_20001

Is this a good deal or not? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Would you pay another $60 USD ($80 CAD) for a laptop with the same specs as above, except with an i7 8550u instead of a i5 8250u?

So it's a good deal, right? And how's the experience on it?

Yeah pretty good deal. Experience is good, I think they could have done better with cooling but everything is alright.

How are temps under light load?

Under light load temps are pretty good. Gaming is when it gets hot because both GPU and CPU produce heat and they share 1 fan.

That's pretty high for the price. Local shop here selling that exact same laptop for $719CAD.

Which shop is that?

I see. I'm not gaming much on it so it should be all good.

Nvm that. My local shop had a 1TB HDD instead of the 256GB SSD, so considering an SSD costs like $130CAD that would be a pretty decent price.

Same here. My local shop had a 1T HDD and it was also like $100 CAD less than the model with a 256GB SSD.
