Gaming 7 X470 is the one with the overkill VRM heatsink.

Either of the motherboards will be fine, same with the Crosshair VII

Wouldn't delidding a Ryzen destroy it?

You just need the make the solder liquify then delid as normal...well almost normal. Don't you remember the pointless delid linus did for threadripper?

So how about this list? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pdCkw6

Also I could use some more info on flashing, it sounds sketchy to me.

This would give me more cores for streaming/gaming, access to Freesync (Do I have to download that or is it a pre-installed thing?), and decent video/photo editing, right?

You probably don't need the really expensive board.

Something like the ASrock Fatal1ty is likely fine

Kraken is overpriced for cooling, I mean you can just buy RGB fans later instead of buying the kraken any normal 240mm AIO will be fine at half the price.

100% buy a case that actually has airflow. The H500 is a beast, and it has giant RGB fans if you're into that I guess...

Probably get an M.2 SSD because it's just easier, you just slot it into the motherboard, no need to run extra cables.

When it comes to flashing you just load up ATI flash and press the flash button with the right bios. Make a thread later about it if you end up doing it.

But that Infinity Mirror tho :0

Also, for the case, I was planning on getting the new Evolv X, which reportedly has MUCH better airflow than the predecessor. (I just couldn't put it on the list because, you know, it's not out yet)

Would the Western Digital SSD you have be comparable to the speed of the 860 EVO? I'm not too picky about one extra cable

Pretty much every decent Sata SSD will be the same. They have 860 EVO M.2s anyways. M.2s are really nice though anyways.

I don't see a mesh front on that EvolvX, it still looks all closed off unless you remove the front panel, doubtful that  the airflow has really been improved.

Buy this thing if you want a fancy case, especially at $199 for the X.

They have a less insane version of that Lian Li case I think, not sure on pricing for either.

the 011 Dynamic is only $130 actually, not bad.

`It's mostly fine but it's not going to compare to something like the H500 for airflow/Cooling

Gamers Nexus has a lot of case reviews.

Ok, I'm looking at three AIO options right now:

Kraken x62: Pump is apparently very quiet, extremely good looks

Corsair H115i Pro: Good quality, bit less expensive, has some RGB

Enermax LIQTECH TR4: It's the brand you recommended, cools well, looks not my style

Thoughts? One in particular thats better? I can fit any one of them in my budget, so is there any big reason not to go with the prettier ones?

You can actually flash the VEGA 56 to use the 64 BIOs.  Personally, I'd rather just get the 64, but StreetGuru's build would be fine too.

I'm a little skeptical about the graphics card situation. In every comparison I've seen, the GTX 1080 outperforms the Vega 56. With my monitor having Freesync, the Vega 56 would prevent screen tearing, but is my monitor good enough that this wouldn't happen anyways with the 1080? I doubt I would be going over 144 frames often, and the extra performance of the 1080 in editing is valuable to me. Would a system with a 2700x and the GTX 1080 work okay and have little screen tearing?

Both are likely to be fine, the 1080 is probably faster overall, but free-sync can be nice to have. Would probably suggest just sticking to free-sync as an option rather than a bit more fps in the end.

If I was mostly gaming, which would you recommend? If it was for streaming/editing, which one would you choose? (Also is there going to be an H500P Mesh in black/gunmetal? I really like that case)

You don't really need a toolkit. Most assemblies can be easily done with at most a Phillips screwdriver.

There is really very little difference between the two builds. Just pick one.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

If you're doing streaming the 8 cores are going to be more useful, as is the soldered iHS, StoreMI, and upgrades until 2020.

Might even see a 12 core option available next year for AM4.

And ya the only thing you need is a basic phillips screwdriver and a knife.
