Overclocking my 750k

Hello everyone!

 

So I decided to overclock my CPU, question is - will my pc handle the overclock?

 

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 750K

GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7770

Motherboard: ASROCK FM2A55M-VG3 socket FM2

PSU: Corsair CX430

RAM: Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR3 1600 Mhz

Case: Cooler Master K350 (with an additional Corsair AF120 LED 120mm fan Quiet edition)

 

And I am planning to buy Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler.

 

I want to achieve 4.0Ghz on my CPU.

 

What I want to know:

 

  • Will my parts melt? :D
  • Will my PSU have enough "juice" to power everything?

2. Yes 430W is more than enough

 

You can easaly OC to 4.5 with that  chip

We`ll see, but I noticed one interesting thing, In instructions, my case fits 148mm height CPU cooler, I measured that the height could be 160mm, I measured from processor top to case side. So it should fit?

How you worded that doesn't make sense.... If the cooler has a height larger than the distance from the cpu to the side panel then it won't fit.

In manual max cooler size is 148.5mm, but I measured, that from proccesor top to side panel it is 160mm and the cooler is 159mm high. It will be tight, but I am okay with that. Maybe there are some other solutions, that does not cost a fortune? :D

Maybe THERMALTAKE NiC F3 would be a good option?
