Caravan Stereo Help

Jsmith2211

PLEASE MOVE IF IN WRONG SECTION...

Hi,

So i tried to play a tape in my caravan's tape player/ radio (it is a goodmans gce740) and it chewed up my tape. I took it apart and the motor that drives the bits that move the tape is dead. I can't be bothered to fix it so i need a new one. My question is what car stereos with a tape player and radio will fit into the existing holes and plug into the wires? If there are none have any of you got sugestions for a good upgrade to this stereo (No more than 20 pounds and must have tape player and radio)

Thanks

James

It looks to be 1-DIN so you could get any really. I'd just get the same one though and just swap them out. You won't be able to get any new tape players though. Really I'd just get a more modern one, but if you're sold on tape functionality then just get one off eBay.

Seriously, get one that plays mp3 (like all the new ones) and convert your tapes.  Tapes degrade over time so if you want them to last, use them less and keep them in s cool dry place.
