Installing windows 10 from a USB

Hi, 

 

im trying to install windows 10 from a USB and it just won't boot to the USB. Is this because Im using a Mac to put the windows 10 onto?

Have you made the USB bootable?

I go into the bios and click boot from usb. then it just reloads the same page on the bios

You can't just copy the Windows ISO onto the USB and boot from it. you need to use software to make a bootable version. I use an old windows 7 USB boot tool that works with 10 too.

You need to use a third party utility to make the USB drive bootable.

 

I've been using Win32 Disk Imager for when I have to make bootable drives, you might have to find something else since you're on a Mac.
