Need a CD Player! Something nice.

Hey,

So, My mother is looking for a new CD player for our living room, We currently have a massive old, CD player with the Record player, and adjustment things

So,

I'm not sure how much the Budget is, But id say nothing over $300.00 Canadian. (She checked out the Bose CD player, but it was $800.00 and that is way out of our price range)

We have speakers, But i'm not sure if they would work, for a new system, maybe but I dont know.

We also dont want like a little cd/radio thing. Like we need a actual system.

Let me know if you need anymore information.

Thanks

M Y  S T U F F

Yea..

I asked my mom, and she said CD player + Radio idk radios not needed we never play that.

But Something like this. Where we can put 1 speaker on one side of the wall and another on the other side of the wall.

With the receiver in the middle.

What kind of speakers are they? From what you described it sounds like you have an old component system, which means that the speakers more than likely won't work without some sort of amplifier.

For a CD player, look used. Go on Craigslist or Kijiji. You can usually finde some really nice players from the ´90's and ´00's for a good price.

You can get systems like that for about $100 at Wallmart. It won't be a Sony, but it will be capable of playing CDs.

Hmm, yea they are from Polk Audio, thats what the speakers say so i thnk they are some what new, https://www.polkaudio.com/home-audio-speakers thats the website.

But I dont know.

Might as well buy everything as a set with the speakers.

Kijij would be a good option, But it is ment to be a present, so i dont wanna go the used route

Unfortunatly the brand name doesn't really help me much. Polk Audio makes a lot of stuff.

Well, are the speakers powered by themselves or do they draw power from the system itself.

Fair enough,

In the modern world you unfortunatly fall between two chairs.

CD players these days are either somewhat expensive Hi-Fi components or cheap consumer electronics.

So you're either going to shell out more than $300 or you're going to be spending around $100-$150 on an all-in-one system from Wallmart or Best Buy.

The speakers you have, are the ends of the cabling just bare wire or a connector?

I just checked,
The setup we have right now, Its like a hardwired in cable, At least the speakers are where its pluged in, But they do have a RED and BLACK Aux looking connector thing

Like this for the RED and BLACK, But we have a hard wire into ours, But it does have the black and red things.

So.

Take a picture of the backs of your speakers and post it here. They will have some kind of identifiers.

Take a picture of what the cable coming from the speakers goes into at the other end. Proper pictures of the front and the back, not just a small section of it.

Don't bother with hiding them in a spoiler, they're relevant info... or upload to imgur and link to them.

If they're going into a receiver then showing the front will be fine.
