Just Overclocked my i5 7600K, how does it look?

First I tested the build in overclocker which Asus has, although it still says 3.80Ghz which doesnt update on this menu, does the CPU click at 4636MHz mean the CPU is running 4.6GHz?Capture.JPG.a8766149a7f7d03468f8e2dd9286a826.JPG

What do you get when you divide 4632.9 by 1000?

1. Built in overclocking tools can do stupid things like shooting voltage to sky high levels. Better do everything yourself just in case it decides to do that.

 

2. Not sure why it raises the base clock either.

 

3. You should be able to get a little bit higher than that, though watch the temperatures.

Ran a stress test, CPU temp Max/Peak was at 79.

looks fine, though 7600k should be able to hit 4.8GHz. Make sure the voltage doesnt go past what it currently maxes out though, as temperatures starting to get hot.

Currently in bios in says 45 (somehow thats 4.6Ghz). Should i just change it to 4.7Ghz (47) or 4.8Ghz (48) while leaving the core voltage the same?

 

Edit: the CPU clock and Core voltage are not fixed numbers, they adjust slightly automatically.

set the base clock (BCLK) back to 100MHz, then use 48 as multiplier.

 

I'd suggest using manual voltage first, setting loadline calibration (LLC) to level 3 or medium, then use stress test (I use Prime95 small FFT) to find out the minimal stable voltage (Start at 1.35v). Then get back into the BIOS, reduce loadline calibration to the lowest level (the higher the number, the lower the effect of LLC), then turn the voltage mode from manual to Adaptive mode, then enter a voltage that's 0.02V higher than the minimal stable voltage you tested out.
