A few weeks ago I asked the community for ideas for a summer project. Someone reccomended making a tesla coil so I tried it and was shoked by high voltage wires and was admitted to the ER. But this still leaves me without ideas for a summer project. So if anyone has ideas for a project I could do that would be a great help.

Make a tesla coil that doesn't shock you

Tesla coils are dangerous, please read up and take the necessary precautions before you try it again.

 

Maybe some home automation or related device with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi?

But that's dangerous and could land him in trouble with the authorities because it could be illegal to discharge something (rocks, melon, etc...) with a catapult.

He's better off making a big volcano in his backyard or anything on this list.
