How to turn off power button light? (Asus Zenbook Flip 14)

Hello,

I've been searching around for a solution to turn off the indicator light of my laptop without having to turn the laptop off, however it wasn't in the boot options and changing the power settings didn't work as well. Does anyone know a fix for this? It's just bothering me so much since the light leaks to the side.

Here's what I mean: (it's daytime, and my phone's camera is trash so he light doesn't seem extreme but it's very bright)

Thanks!36064292_216171782441144_2550179416600739840_n.jpg.33033ac3d165f47e4406fe0979aee487.jpg

Thanks!

Best thing to do would be to open it up and put a piece of electrical tape over it. If you want to keep it from leaking light, then mask off the areas that aren't supposed to leak light.

I doubt the BIOS has an option to turn it off, but it'd be worth looking.

In my experience, asus has been very good about warrantying opened machines, and they are doing an even better job now that warranty stickers are illegal

Sharpie it. Even if it doesn't block it out completely, it'll greatly reduce the light.
