pubg-fortnite law suit Pubg vs fortnite

So pubg sued fortnite for "copying pubg" If the law suit was in america pubg would have lost 100% but the problem is that it is in korea and bluehole studio (the guys who made pubg) are korean so there is a strong chance that pubg will win what do you think?

Technically speaking Epic Games did copy the format as the game was released after PUBG. But if they use that argument then any FPS maker could sue another one

But the graphics the sound the building and there is no cars (but the shopping cart might be copying pubg in another way i dont know) in fortnite and theres no pan because pubg copyrighted it and called it " the imaginative treatment of a frying pan as a melee weapon is made even more remarkable by its further treatment as armor against shots to the butt of a character " while suing netease and pubg isnt the first if the guy who made minecraft hunger game mod sued pubg he would have stream rolled pubg

But as far as I can see, Fortinite might've copied, however it's not like the whole style of PUBG was patented. And even then, could you patent battle royal as a mode? No.

And then Koushun Takami could sue the creator of the Mincraft mod.

 

Also, what part of Korean copyright law makes you think PUBG could be granted a copyright to the concept of a battle royal video game?

Even within video games this isn't a new idea. There were battle royal mods for Warcraft III, Arma and even CoD: MW.

It's not really a different genre. But going by that the map makers of Minecraft Hunger Games could strike a lawsuit vs PUBG.
