Samsung Gear S2 battery life

So i bought a used Gear S2 from a friend for 50€ which is basically in pristine shape (he owned it for 2 years but only really used it for about half a year before basically resting it on the shelf and letting it sit there). I'm currently using it everyday, with all the automatic s-health features disabled to save some battery at least, but i have the feeling that it drains the battery very quick. I usually charge it up in the evening to 100% before wearing it while sleeping (airplane mode). When i wake up i have around 95% left but it definitely looses a lot of charge just by looking up the time occasionally, e.g. i am sitting at 79% right now, after using it for 5 hours today (Watch is always connected to my phone via bluetooth, i'm not using any apps or crazy watchfaces, i'm just checking the time and my notifications every now and then). Replacing it battery looks pretty easy to do, it costs 28€ on ebay, however since i never owned a smartwatch before i really don't know how long those batterys should last i mean it's 250mAh anyways. It would be nice if someone with a similar smartwatch could share his experiences and overall battery performance with me and therefore help me decide if buying a new battery would actually be worth it.

Smartwatches usually last a day or best 2.

I usually have 50% battery left by evening before going bed. Then when i wake up i throw the watch into charger for about 20 min and im good to go.

I have the huawei watch first gen.

Alright thanks for your answer, great to know. So do you think the battery is still fine ? I have the feeling that i won't see much of a difference after replacing it with a new one.

How long does the battery last?

What is the battery percentage at evening?

If it dies before bedtime then you should change the battery. Otherwise it should be fine.

It really depends. Right now i'm not really using it much (It's on airplane mode right now because i'm using my laptop and i don't need any notifications right now), but when i start using it (replying to messages, playing around, setting up s health for some running etc you can watch the percentage go down in like 1%/min. Yesterday evening at 7pm i had around 25% left and i was able to drain it in 20 minutes.

Thats not good. Even when i play games, reply to notifications, use google assistant on my watch etc I still last a full day. When i would put it on battery saver mode i could probably last a week. So if it is inexpensive you should change the battery, but maybe tizen OS has so much worse battery optimizations than Google Wear OS?

Hmm intersting. I'm at 58% now which is alright i guess. It really depends on what i'm doing. I guess i'll see throughout the next week if i'll be always able to make it through a whole day with a single charge. I've read some forums where people complain about weak batterylife aswell so it's possible that it might not be a bad battery which would make replacing it pretty much useless.

If it was an Android Wear smartwatch i would just recommend to download a battery tester/sensor multitool on to your watch, but your watch runs Tizen...

Maybe see if the samsung/tizen store also has a sensor tool /battery tester or something like that.
