Need bench test chassis / open chassis

So I have to swap out parts a lot and doing so inside a regular ATX is getting to be a pain and takes too long.

I'm looking for a nice open air bench test chassis.  I know there are lots of them out there, but I need one that supports radiators (like 280mm for CPU and either 140 or 280 for GPU).

I checked Newegg, and maybe it's because their filtering sucks, but I can't seem to find anything that supports that many radiators except for the Thermaltake Core chassis, which really isn't quite what I'm looking for.

And hitting fingers to case parts in hurry still hurts, even if todays cases lack properly sharp edges for taking blood samples.

There's been quite a few various open air/test bench cases from various makers, but don't remember any of them having had support for radiators.

And Caselabs doesn't seem to do open air stuff, so those Dimastecs are likely only ones.

You know... I'm glad everyone is suggesting DimasTech.  I've used them a lot in the past.  I just wasn't able to find them in the U.S. (normal e-tail channels).  I thought something happened to them (out of business, etc.)

I suppose if I can order direct, that solves that problem.

Perhaps a Praxis Wet Bench? Easy to configure, portable, and has space for radiators.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Hm, you thought about Cooler Master HAF XB, did you???

It isn't exactly what you are looking for but should be rather close, I think...

Thermaltake P5, P7 or P90 may do you some good.
P5  (things are closer, so tube length may not be an issue) http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model_Specification.aspx?id=c_00002732
p7 ( I think your best bet for more room) http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model_Specification.aspx?id=C_00003043
p90 (similar compatibility as a p5, but you are left with all the interchangeable components on one area, while the radiators sit there never to be touched) http://www.thermaltake.com/Chassis/Open_Frame_/Core/C_00003150/Core_P90_Tempered_Glass_Edition_/Specification.htm

Sadly I was not able to find a test bench for that many radiators. You can always improvise, leaving a radiator hanging but that is far from ideal either.

  • 3 weeks later...

I ended up ordering the Dimastech from DimasTechUSA:  http://www.dimastechusa.com

What has me worried is after I placed my order, I received no email confirmation of my order.  I went back and found that the cart/billing pages are not secure pages.

I then noticed the copyright on the bottom of the page is 2013.  :(

Hope I didn't just get hosed.

Let me know how this turns out. It's partly why I didn't order some things from them that I needed.

Ok.. It's legit.  I panicked.  :D

Turns out that DimasTechUSA is run my ModMyMods.  Got a hold of them in seconds.  Told me that they were out of stock and asked if I wanted to wait four to six weeks.

WHEW!!!

False alarm.  Everything's cool.

You didn't happen to ask them why their shipping/handling is so outrageous did you?

And thank you for that update!
