Would a 100 Mbps download speed  and 3 mbps upload with 300 GB of data a month be enough to online game as well as use netflix for tv ?

No. I suppose you should get the same specs but with 500GB of data.

Gaming depends more on the latency and quality of the connection that anything. As for Netflix with a 300GB/month data cap I would suggest looking up how much a 720p stream consumes and then average out how much you'll use Netflix over the month. Games on the other hand don't use much data to just play them so you'll most likely be good there.

U would use 300GB in no time especially if your playing in HD.

 

I use almost a TB of data a month streaming Youtube and Netflix in HD.  It would be more if i was a gamer.

I don't watch much netflix these days... But I watch on average a dozen youtube videos per day, that are between 10 to 20 minutes(and a few over an hour, like WAN show or Co-Optional Podcast), in 1080p, some in 60fps as well. I'm barely reaching 150GB per month.

Back when I used to play more games, I was reaching 400GB easily.

 

It really depends how heavy of a user you are. If possible, look at your current usage data, either through your ISP or in your router if it has that feature. (Actually, if you have Windows 10, you can see more or less how much you've consumed on your PC, in Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage) 

So in the end, you might be ok with that plan, because yes, it's more than enough for watching videos. Online gaming though, 3Mbps upload is cutting it short, but I'm guessing there isn't much better elsewhere for you.

Games themselves use a very small amount of data.

 

Downloading games, however, is where the gigabytes roll in.  300 is kind of low but manageable, but it depends on how many installations you pull down from steam or similar.  A lot of newer AAA titles are 60GB or more a piece.

I use at least 250 Gigs a month just on my PC not counting streaming with my fire stick. With me and my parents we use about 700 Gigs on average. So its hard to say. Oh and if your downloading games thats the issue. I remember GTA 5 being around 25 Gigs or so and that was a few years ago with out all the patches.
