I am looking to build a new PC within the next 2 weeks.

I am not sure whether I should go AMD or Intel but I do have a $1200 budget. I already have a 2TB SSHD,  256SSD, and Full case.

I'd like to have 16-32gb RAM and a 1070ti or 1080.

For the CPU I'm thinking Ryzen 1700x, 2700x, or Intel i7-8700k.

None of those.

Intel is better suited for gaming. I suggest an i5 8400 instead of the 8700K, as you can save on your motherboard choice, and games generally don't use 6 threads.

B360 board - No Gigabyte as their VRM's are shit as some people have said

2400MHz ram - Don't need fast ram with Intel

i5 8400 - Locked, but still fast AF.

EDIT:

Make a PCPartPicker.com list and we will see what we can change in it.

hi.

I have 2 HP 27es monitors. States the refresh rate is 50-60HZ.

1080p?

If so I'd suggest either this 1080p 144hz VA display, or a 4k 60hz IPS display, but those are like $300

Also look into StoreMI if you go X470.

might as well get a new monitor since you only have 60hz monitors.
