Hey, 

So im currently trying to sell my Macbook Air 2017 With an i5 in it, He would buy it, If I could upgrade it ""Safely to an i7""

Is it possible to Upgrade?  Can you buy the Chips?

Macboom Airs have always had their CPU soldered. Unless you happen to have a BGA rework station laying around, and can source a non-defect BGA cpu that is compatible (meeting both of these conditions being quite unlikely), it's a dead end.

 

Theoretically, you could procure a motherboard with an upgraded cpu, though the likely expense and labor involved make this an impractical endeavor.

To be fair, 99.9% of Windows laptops you can't upgrade the CPU either.

It's theoretically possible but you'd need a lot of very expensive equipment that'd probably be more than a new laptop anyway
