Will my setup handle wqhd 144hz?

I mean, probably not in high end Titles or very unbalanced titles, but like in league of legends or elex, or maybe Skyrim?

Your PC is fine for 1440p 144hz

the 980ti is almost as fast as a GTX 1080 depending on how close your card gets to 1500mhz, 1400mhz should be easy enough to hit. Wouldn't be a major upgrade at a decent price anyways

Hi guys,

As I have some money to waste, and don't have such a good monitor, I wondered about buying a 144hz 27" monitor.

The question is, should I rather go for 144hz 27" full HD or wqhd?

My price range ends at about 350-400€.

I play different types of games, sometimes mobas,  sometimes single player RPGs etc.

I have a evga GTX 980ti superclocked.

And an Intel core i7 4770k (3.8ghz)

I use a vesa 100x100 wall mount, so pivot etc isn't a criteria.

And if you have a specific monitor you think I should buy, feel free to post it.

Any of the korean free-sync displays if you can find one, usually they're around $399

just make sure you get an IPS panel in any event.

What would be a low response time? 10ms?

Every modern monitor is going to have low response time, IPS has a longer grey to grey than TN which typically won't be noticeable.

The Acer XF270HU looks good. IPS is the better one instead of amva or LCD right?

IPS is the way to go, doesn't matter if you use an nvidia card on a free-sync display

Thanks, I'm probably going for the Acer one. It seems way good for the pricing.

yes, it has wider viewing angle than TN and the colors looks better on the IPS
