Are you certain the motherboard is in functional condition otherwise? Whole lotta variables at play here and any one of them could prevent proper booting

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Nothing is wrong with it that I know of. It was taken from the original Alienware to a new case though and has been working for months.

On the alienware x51 r2 cpu graphics are disabled on the bios level. And if i'm not mistaken, there is no bios option to reenable it (or it's greyed out, can't remember). So you NEED a video card with that board to change the BIOS option. There is no other fix.

If you have the model with an hdmi port, it is only a reroute to the gpu, so you need a dedicated gpu, except if you have an updated bios installed. If you have the model that has a vga port behind it on the top backplate, it's not soldered in the board. So imagine it's not there.

Are you completely sure? A few years ago I updated to windows 10 from 7 and for some reason it decided to start up with the integrated graphics, I turned that off but does that mean it’s possible maybe?

Sure. but it's a dangerous thing to do as you can't see what you are changing.

But if you insist :

So spam F12 for 3 mins. Wait for the CPU to stop flashing a lot.

Press tab once. Press down 4x. Press enter.

Now here is the tricky part, you have to guess what menu options are available to you. Here is how that bios menu looks like.

So my guess is , after the enter, press down twice, press enter again, press f10, and then right and enter again. Then press esc and then right and enter again. Computer should reboot.

Good luck!

And note that this won't work if it's greyed out, like I said.
