Hello all, I purchased a Samsung 860 evo sata m.2 drive. It won't show up in BIOS or Disk manager.

I have the EVGA z370 mATX and it is in M.2 2280 Slot 3, behind the GPU. Can someone explain why this isn't working, and help me get it to work? I think it has something to do with SATA vs PCIE. Thanks.

I took a pic of the SSD in its slot but it's on my phone, and I'm writing this on my PC. I'll upload it if it will help anyone. Just say the word :)

Things I've done so far:

- Reinstalled windows after changing BIOS setting from AHCI to RAID. SOmeone on TOm's hardware recommended changing AHCI to SATA but the only option was RAID

Me at the Apple store: "So how fast is this little macbook?"

Thats a pcie only m.2 slot and your trying to use a sata m.2 drive. thats your problem.

Get a pcie m.2 and it will work fine.

I already have the SATA one. Does this mobo not have ANY sata m.2 slot? Or can I buy an adapter for my pcie x4 slot? Don't want to have to return this.
