8700k some cores are a solid 10C more than others. Is it normal?

Hey guys. Experimenting with my delidded 8700k and I noticed some cores run ALOT hotter than others.

 

Is this OK? 5.0ghz at 1.340v

Other cores. Gaming 2 or 3 cores sit at 50C when others are 40 to 42C. I assume because gaming only uses some cores?

I have mine set to 5 ghz also and i dont know the voltage, but some of the cores are anywhere from 1 - 8 degrees higher than the others and my house is at like 75 F. my cpu is at 30 - 40 celcius so id say youre getting normal temps

If nothing else maybe the delid wasn't applied evenly or the hsf/block isn't set right.

 

Dunno I don't have a 8700k

 

edit: could be a variance in temperatures registering.  Is it always the same cores that are hotter?  When I stress my 7600k I can get variation that high but the variation bounces between cores

It is because those cores are doing processes.  The other are idle.
